Dr. R. Gerald (Jerry) Bailey, P.E.
Chairman of the Board and Advisory Committee
Jerry Bailey has over 55 years in the petroleum industry with extensive engineering, management and senior executive assignments. He is experienced in all aspects of the industry, both upstream and downstream, onshore and offshore and extensive middle east experience. During his career, Dr. Bailey served as President of Exxon Arabian Gulf and has served on the boards of many public and private oil and gas companies. Dr. Bailey is a chemical engineering graduate of the University of Houston and holds B.S., M.S. and PhD degrees. He has authored many articles, technical papers and has been a keynote speaker at numerous industry conferences.
Paul T. Cothran
Board Member and President
Paul serves as Board Member and President of Western Energy Group. Beginning his career in 1991 as a land consultant, Paul performed contract land work for various oil and gas companies in Texas. In 2006 Paul co-founded Gulf Energy Exploration, a prospect generating company with identified prospect reserves in excess of 1 TCF of Gas in offshore Gulf of Mexico. In his over 20 years in the business, Paul has had extensive experience with all aspects of mineral tract ownership, leasing, and title work, hands-on experience in field development and has implemented strategies that have identified oil and gas reservoirs and greatly enhanced production in existing fields. Paul is also the founder and current president of Token Mineral Company, a mineral and royalty company.
Corey is a Petroleum Geologist who supports a wide array of critical operational and technical functions, including geologic and logging analysis. He began his career in the E&P Industry with BJ Services, working in fracture stimulation for 5 years. During his time in the industry, he has worked the Gulf Coast and Permian Basin regions as well as the Woodbine trend. Prior to entering the Oil and Gas business, Mr. Holton worked in the gold mining industry as a logging and exploration Geologist. He holds a degree in Geology from the University of Arizona.
Dr. Anil Kumar, PhD
Dr. Anil Kumar has extensive experience in the domestic and international upstream oil and gas industry, including business and technology management, operations, enhancing oil recovery, capital and expense budgets and economic evaluations. Dr. Kumar served as Engineering Manager for Chevron, Senior Technical Advisor for Mobil E&P, as Vice President of Wellspring Partners, LLC in Dallas, and Senior VP for Reliance Industries Ltd. Dr Kumar has achieved numerous technical and service awards, received his PhD from Stanford University, and has served as chairman of the Petroleum and Mining Engineering Dept at New Mexico Institute of Mining.
Dr. Kumar is President and CEO of Omak Technologies, a consulting petroleum company focused on exploration analysis, geocellular modeling, reservoir studies and simulation, exploitation studies, emerging research and technology applications, strategic planning and risk analysis, reserves and resource assessment.
April serves as the Company Secretary and Land Administrator. April has more than 20 years of experience in oil and gas land and contract management, royalty and division order processing, owner relations, skip‐trace locating, and other contract management functions. April previously worked in the patent law profession before entering the oil and gas business in the 1990s.
